Hi there, new here so please be gentle...
I have a Baxi solo 2 range ( i think) will double check to night. I have been having a problem with it for the last few days were the over-heat safety device cuts in, and the pilot light goes out. I just re-set the boiler and re-light it and it seems to work fine for a day or so then cuts out again. Has any one got any ideas what could be the cause of the problem? It dose in the instructions that it can be caused by electrical interruptions, but if it continues to call an engineer.

Any help would be gratefully received.

The boiler is getting hotter than it is designed to.

Could be, in most likely order,

Incorrect by-pass setup
Pump, incorrectly wired (no pump overrun) or under performing
Other installation fault
Boiler thermostat u/s
Over run timer not functioning

or a faulty overheat stat or something else

Does the boiler 'boil' up like a kettle?

Can you measure the temperature of the flow pipes?
