Hi I have a baxi solo 240 rs which is making a loud whistling noise which can be heard inside and outside whilst the boiler is running. Any ideas as to a cure for this annoying problem please.

Oddly, when they were new, a lot had to have new hex's for that problem.
Thanks for the reply, the boiler is quite old now, is there a way to check if it needs a hex?

They did have a problem with noise. Only way I test is wait until the boiler is hot and making the noise, then switch the boiler stat to off and listen to how quickly the noise disappears. It should stop fairly quickly, say 5-10 secs.
This will indicate that it is heat related. If the system is performing to your satisfaction, you could try adding some system silencer to one of the rads via the bleed point and give that a try.
