Hi all,

We have a Baxi System 100HE Plus, and 9 months ago it stopped working, all the lights on it went off, it lost the pressure and it didn't do anything.

So we called a company, they diagnosed it as the PCB, came and replaced it and it worked find up until yesterday.

Yesterday we had no heating/hot water though and when we checked the boiler the lights were on but the pressure had dropped to 0, so we are not sure why it dropped but we opened the valves and let more pressure in, like the man last time told us we could do if the pressure was low. Shortly after all lights went off and boiler still isn't working, still no heating/hot water.

I am going to ring the company that repaired it tomorrow to see what they have to say as it only lasted 9 months but in the meantime:

Could it be the PCB again?
Any ideas?

Hope you can help

Thanks for the reply, I've never done any work on a boiler, but am quite confident to do small things. So hope this doesn't sound stupid but I filled the pressure up to around 1 (the green area) yesterday, and after a few minutes it seemed to have risen slightly, to 1.5, and now today it is near 1 again.

Also another stupid question, but when I raise the pressure using the valves, what is going into the system, air or gas ?

Right, I've topped it up to 1.5, so I'll keep an eye on it to see if it drops.

The boiler is not doing anything though as I mentioned earlier, no lights or anything and we have switched off heating 1, heating 2 and water from our channel plus XL controller (because the boiler isn't doing anything)

When it lost the pressure in the first place, if you say that was water, where did that water go?

If it leaks now, where should I see water, anywhere specific to look out for it?

Hi,

The boilers pressure has dropped from 1.5 down to one again so I think there is a leak somewhere, but that still doesnt explain why all the lights are off and it does nothing surely?

Anyways, someone is coming to look at it today after 4. I will let you know what they say
