Bay window - advice

Hi,

I'm looking at buying this property to renovate, the rest of the property is fine. Apart from what is shown in the pics.

Is this due to subsidence? Or is it just down to old plaster? The frame seems to be coming away from the wall also, on the right hand side. There doesn't appear to be any cracks in the walls from the outside or elsewhere in the house. Except from some minor hairline cracks in the ceiling, which from what i can tell is just down to old plaster.

Looks like there is a wooden frame in the first pic, does that form part of the bay construction with facing brick

A building surveyor would advise, and give an idea of likely cost, and therefore a starting point for negotiation

Pics from outside would help. What is above the bay- flat roof or an upstairs bay? Do you have any info on the double-glazing- quite possible it has been put in without any reinforcement which could cause that buckling.

End of the day its a fixer-upper (presumably priced as such)- if it is a ground floor bay only then rebuilding it from the ground up won't cost a fortune
