Hi guys we have just had some windows fitted to our property and on inspection wasn't very happy, the bay pole has been cut and you can see into it the windows on the bay don't touch the sill, and there is also problems with two other windows that don't touch the sill. I have sent photos to the company involved and spoke to the manager who was supposed to come out on Friday to look but didn't,
This is the bay window that's been fitted to a flat roofed bay. As you can see I can insert a tap measure into the bay post to it's full length, the bay post doesn't touch the sill but looks like it's been trimmed to allow the sill to be fitted, what's your thoughts?

Not professional at all! I would first request they come back and do the job properly, Looking at the gap in the corner of picture 7 it looks as though those frames were knocked together in the back of a van, not manufactured in a purpose factory where all joints are, (almost), seamlessly welded. What ever U value they stated has simply 'gone right out the window'!
You do not want them to come back and just bung some mastic/sealant in the gaps. They need to be rebuilt and installed correctly. If they refuse to replace them get an independent surveyor out to give you an installation report then take them to court.
The cill doesn't even look as though it's the correct style for them.

An image or 2 further back would be very helpful, its hard to see the context from a close up

These are the windows that they have fitted, I have not paid anything yet and have told them they will not.get a penny until the work is completed to my satisfaction all in all they fitted 6 windows plus the bay window and two doors in one and a half days at a cost of nearly 10k

My main concern is the bay pole not touching the sill, surely this is a support and not just to join the windows

What's going on with the window above the bay? big gap down the side? And, yes, the bay poles should support the bay roof......

No gap on window above the bay as far as I can see must be just the photo
