Have a beech hedge 10m x 2m any idea of cost of removal. First quote £450.

PS agreed yesterday with neighbour to kissing hedge goodbye. (They hated it,) Just come in from shopping and my neighbour is stood in the garden with a chainsaw and hedge is down!!!? His friend has just arrived to help with root removal. After wrestling with the decision for 3 weeks releaved it's done. It was free. Just have to buy fence. Think it was do it now before she changes her mind.

I would ask them for a contribution, after all its them that want it replaced and you dont have to if you dont want to.
Once the hedge is down its too late if there are any challenges as to where the new fence should go so plan carefully

Have a look at the problems on the Garden law forum
Edit: too late I hadnt seen youve editited your post since I last read it

Shouldn't really remove hedges until bird breeding is over, it's more of a winter job. Shame.
