Beko Slimline Dishwasher- DSFS1531W - Replacement Facia Door Switch

I have purchased a replacement facia as the plastic handle had cracked. All the other parts screw on perfectly apart from the door switch, which fits onto the door latch so that it closes tightly. It seems that there is a spring that needs to be pulled back, but I cant seem to be able to do that. I have attached photos. It the grey part that houses the spring.

Any help and suggestions would be most welcome.
