Beko washing machine tub failure.

Hi.

Beko WIY84540 watching machine. Where the spring attaches to the tub has failed. Is this normal failure? I think it's about 5 years old.

I assume the only solution is a new tub which is about £130? Wondering if I could drill a hole under the original hole and attach the spring or would the tub being slightly higher screw up the Ballance?

Just occurred to me, the suspension strut underneath may be damaged too, never checked.

Can you not make a metal plate with two small nuts and bolts through and fix to the side where it broke off?
Maybe a plate either side.
Then hook spring on.
