Benefit of changing single rads with vanes to double. Any?

My 27 year old rads are getting a bit jaded- some bits of rust etc, so thinking of changing them a few at a time. They are singles with vanes on the back; stelrad I think.
Will we feel any benefit in changing them for doubles?
Any benefit in getting slightly bigger sizes (and double) such as slightly taller, same length for example?

They will output more heat but whether this is of benefit depends what your room heating requirements are and if the current radiators provide whats required. Go online and use one of the radiator sizing calculators to see what your theoretical requirements are and check these against what your current radiators provide
