Hi All

I have a 50's terrace, cavity walls, painted, with rough brickwork (up to 5mm difference in adjacent bricks).

Most of the other houses in the street have been rendered - a mix of flat, pebbledash, and stuff that looks like artex (hi-build?). I'm looking at getting my house rendered too.

What's the best/cheapest way to go? I'm guessing the one-coat options like hi-build or silicone-modified are cheapest but might need loads to take out the uneveness. Is a traditional cement render the best way to go and would I need to fix stainless mesh because of the old paint?

I'm going to get a pro in, but interested in your advice/opinions first.

Thanks

bsr
