Hi,

I need to renew the exterior white silicone sealant on some of our uPVC window frames.

It's definitely failed because I'm getting water stains in the bottom corner of a couple of the internal window reveals.

The windows were installed about 8 years ago and the window fitter used an everbuild product (I remember this because he left all the empty tubes for me to throw away).

Is 8 years a decent length of time for an exterior silicone to last?

Any recommendations for a good quality exterior silicone sealant?

Thanks in advance.

Note that in most senses frames aren't supposed to be impervious to water ingress; tehyre designed to let out any water that does get in. If you're having issues with water coming in, check that frame drainage hasn't failed to the point that accumulating water inside the frame is coming in rather than getting out..
