I have a thermalite block wall that I want to fit a heavyish Oak shelf onto.
What's the best fixings to use? Long wall plugs?

Thanks.

When i hung my 42" plasma onto a dot'n'dabbed thermalite wall i used 75mm bolts (M6 iirc), BUT i injected some grab adhesive into the holes first and let the bolts set in, before hanging the tv bracket.
Worked fine.

Hmmm.....never seen em before. for the crazy price, give em a go.
You could always re-enforce them with the grab adhesive method as well.

Just usual 90 degree brackets.
It been up for years but I tripped the other day and landed on it!

Do a bit of on the job research ,use the Rawlplug fixing but let us know how it went,Iv'e never used them before ,It looks like an adaption of the masonry screw , which works well and is now industry standard, well it is for me .

Standard thermalite screw in plug, most other fixing just pull out.

Not particularly good.
With the 7mm reccomended hole it wouldn't go in, the cross head was rounding but with a 8mm drill it was too loose. I went with some large 10mm normal wall plugs in the end.
