Hi all, I've taken down my lounge ceiling and exposed the floor joists above, I notice there are pretty big gaps either side of them, so they move about and can twist

What is the best method of securing them? I'm thinking either expanding foam or grip fill?

Cheers

yeah we have put 2 noggins in as well put I'm just wondering if expanding foam or grip fill pumped in between the joists and the brickwork would be better to stop them twisting?
