Best oven door seals?

I have an Ikea-badged twin oven which was in the house I bought 6 years ago. It is the same as numerous ovens badged as Electrolux, AEG, Zanussi or others.

In 6 years I have needed four new top oven door seals and now the latest, only about 9 months old, has split. I have bought them mostly from Ransom Spares (excellent service) though I did try eSpares once (utterly incompetent service). Should they fail so quickly? Should I buy genuine manufacturers' parts instead?

Funnily enough the main oven is only on its second new door seal although I use it more.

You may both be right but I don't know if genuine parts will last longer than pattern parts! A trial is in order.

Must get a lot of abuse , never had to change an oven seal .

I always get my seals from Iceland..
