I've patched up my wooden window frames/cills and re-painted, but get occassional water ingress under the cill (there's lead flashing but I think it doesn't extend far/high enough back under the wooden cill).

So I plan to add sealant between the top of the flashing and base of the wooden cill.

Acrylic or silicone? Or something else?

Silicone may do it or flash band may be another choice a bit difficult to tell really.

Gaps should be filled with a lead pointing sealant which can be bought at most builders merchants and some DIY stores. Failing that you could use a low modulus silicone.

Ensure there is a drip edge on the underside of the cill in order to prevent rainwater from running back towards the house.
