Best type of carpet underlay

Hi,

I am looking for some advice on the best type of carpet underlay. I want a soft luxurious feeling to my new bedroom carpet. Are there any pro and cons to the 2 basic types i.e rubber or PU.

At the moment I am leaning towards the Tredaire Dreamwalk 11mm PU Luxury but have no experience of this type of underlay as have normally had the normal waffle rubber type.

or you could go for the 11mm one thats also really nice but without the firmness more of a sinking feeling, but if the carpet is nice and soft should be ok with the contract but its all preference.

also the pu is much better, the normal waffle stuff is nothing compared to this stuff, you really should just try them under the carpet you want
