Best varnish for painting exterior doors and windows

Hi I need to paint my outside door and window frames etc. What is a good varnish to use for this (their a dark mahogany colour). i'm looking for something that is easy to apply and reasonably cheap. I'm moving and just want to freshen up the front of the house.

Can't go wrong with Ronseal really.
