Just sorting out a mates boiler (worcester heatslave 9.24)prv needed replacing/diverter valve is on order and found out expansion vessel is nakered so ordering 1 of them aswell but looking at the nut connecting to the expansion vessel-the threads are rusty and it seems solid-whats the best way to remove it-apply heat with blowtorch maybe???

if you have room around it, heat it up with a turbo torch, it will come of nice and easily
