Best way to seal between wood and slabs?

Morning all,

What would be the best way to seal between slabs and a wood edging to avoid cracking?

I was thinking something like silkaflex EBT mastic, however im unsure if it will stand up to jetwashing.

Any ideas?

Wont it crack with the expansion and contraction of the wood?

No, a 45mm piece of wood is not really expanding or contracting across its depth.
