Hi, Can anyone help?

I have a WB condensing combi boiler which has in the last few days lost pressure totally.

I have bled rads and now pressure is restored but the boiler has a mind of its own and seems not to be taking any notice of the thermostat.

The stat fitted is a TR2.

Has anyone come across this before? The unit is only just over 2 years old

Thanks

I think you need to find the cause of pressure loss before anything else. Any leaks/damp patches anywhere? any wet patches under prv outlet pipe?

I'm not a lover of worcester generally or an expert  Try removing the connections from the tr2 at the boiler and linking out to make boiler run without stat. If it is more reliable I think this will prove fault with tr2

Trying to remember this config. Check M I's you may just have to remove connections and NOT link out to test

I think you do need a link I think it is ls, lr. The tr2 cable may not be correct I think it should be run in cat 5 cable as it is classed as data cable, this stops voltage from other cables affecting the tr2 or it could just be busted.

If this is an e-bus then would it not be disconnected?

And the boiler told not to look for one as well perhaps? Or does it search for one on startup?

Tony

if you have the model with text display you can switch the tr2 optimal start on and off from there.

i have seen them go loopy for a while and after resetting the tr2 options it sorts itself out.

Sorry.

The boiler is now displaying fault cade error A8 if this is any help to you.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I will turn the optimum off now and give it a whirl.

regarding the cat 5e cable, it is hard wired with live, nuetral and s/w live.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hi

I have turned the optimum off and the ls - ir link says it is closed on the display regardless if the optimum is off or on.
