Hi, this is my first post due to some problems with my Biasi 24S boiler.

The boiler will not fire up for either the central heating or the hot water. The water pressure is ok and the fan is running. You can see the electronic spark to ignite the gas but it seems that no gas is getting through.

Checked the bottom gas input and there is gas, checked the output and there is no gas. I don't hear the solenoid clicking in at all - is this the problem and if so can it be replaced easily?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Ralph

It certainly sounds as if the gas valve is stuck.

The replacement has to be done by a CORGI registered engineer.

It is very important that after replacement the minimum and maximum gas pressures are set and that the ignition an dheating settings are checked.

The failure is caused by the glycol that Transco puts into the gas pipelines.

Thanks Tony, I'll have it checked out by an engineer as I am not going to mess about with the gas supply!

Cheers, Ralph
