Hi,
I have recently moved into a house with a Biasi 24S Combi boiler and I am having major problems getting any hot water or to get the boiler working at its best. In 4 days I have spent £41 on gas as the previous tenants had a card meter fitted, something I have to wait until March to get changed.

As my last place was all electric I am having major problems working out how to set the dials for optimum performance and the boiler is turning itself on pretty much all day and is costing me a packet. I wonder if anyone could either post the intructions for setting the CH and Water or could send me a photocopy of them?

I should point out that the problem with the water has been suggested as a bust valve or diaphram and is awiting repair when I can find a man who can.

Thanks in advance, Kenny

Go to Biasi website and you should find the manual under Service/Technical info.

Set the hot water to whatever temperature you find right for you.

As for the Central heating. you should have a separate room thermostat which as a guideline is set between 18C-21C, if you do set the boiler just enough to get the house to the set temperature.

If you do not have room stat then just set the boiler so that the house is warm enough for you to be comfortable.

Hi Mick,
The dials look very different to the one I have ... mine are white, two multi function dials and a red slider for timer plus two gauges

I do not have a room thermostat I only wish I did life would be that much easier. The problem I have is setting the timer and working out how to have hot water as required and the CH on a timer.

I meant the timer, can you take a closer one?

Yours is a Riva Compact model M90F 24S.

Just set the two knobs to the 2 pm clock position and the red slider to bottom and push the left timeclock button to toggle between on/off.

If you are competent you can download the user instructions from the Biasi site and read how to set the timeclock.

Hi Tony,
The model number on the sticker reads M90E 24S but I guess its much the same. The problem I am having is that my browser is refusing to open up PDF files so I cannot read the instructions on the Biasi website.

Aaah you have the Riva compact, the one with the digital timer right?

My Grandad used to have one in his previous house.

Set the time by moving the red slider to the clock symbol using + and - to set it.

Move the red slider to the C1 position to set the timeclock, i.e on and off times. Use +, - and enter keys.

Finally move the red slider to the AUTO position to activate the time settings.

If at any time you wish to override the heating move the red slider all the way down and press the on/off button depending what you want to do. ;)
