BIASI 24S

I have a 1998 Biasi 24s in my workshop that is a pain at the moment, the problem is
Turn boiler on and it works o k till it gets to max temp ( set to min or max temp there is no difference ) then it cuts out ( pops the reset button ) pump is still running so when it cools down set reset and same again

This sounds like the boiler is not modulating and the first thing to check is the temp sensors.Is this the combi version or the heat only model?
Temp sensors have different resistance readings for various temperature.
1k ohm @100*C up to 12k ohm @20*C.These sensors are wet and the boiler needs draining to remove them.
