The internal timeswitch on my Biasi packed up recently so I went and bought an external timer. I have got all the mains wiring sorted but can someone tell me where i run the timer wire from the external switch to ?
and what do i need to disconnect on the original switch?

The best way to resolve this is to keep the integral timer connected and switch permanently on, then use the external connections for a roomstat and wire a programmable stat (eg. only 2 wire for Drayton Digistat type) to this so you have time & temp control.

Not possible! the internal switch has a slider which has broken so i cannot set it to being on permanently! I don't have any kind of thermostat - we have TRV's on all of the radiators instead. There is a loop between the terminals marked TT and TC.

TRV's are supposed to be as well as not instead of a roomstat. If slider is broken r u saying you have no heating or is it stuck in the auto position?

It's in the off position - has been for about three weeks. Putting in a thremostat is not an option for this flat it would involve major chaos and the room temperatures differ so greatly we couldn't position it anywhere that would make sense

There are remote wireless ones available, but being as you seem so well informed about what can and can't be done and less than grateful for any information, I'm sure you'll find a solution.

The slide switch is available on its own. Email me from my profile for details.

Its also possible to lock the timeswitch in the heating on position with all the segments out ( until the next time anyone starts fiddling that is )
