When heating is demanded, the diverter valve actuator operates correctly, for a time, but occasionally reverses, stopping the flow to the rads.

I thought that the actuator could be faulty, but a replacement does the same, so I guess it's the pcb? Or has anyone a different idea?

In most cases like this the only place to diagnose a fault is at the boiler.

I would say its unlikely to have been the div motor or the PCB either.

But its not a fault with an immediately obvious cause so I think a good engineer is needed. I dont go further north than Nuneaton!
