Hi all. My Biasi boiler has just developed a fault on the hot water system only ( central heating seems OK ) Initially it has excessive temperature on the primary circuit then goes into safety thermostat lock out.
The C.H. temp gauge also shoots up to 80+ degrees.
Any ideas?

Blocked plate heat exchanger!

Caused by the installer not power flushing the system when the boiler was fitted.

You should ideally start your own new thread but I will answer you as there is not much written here.

What are the exact model and serial numbers?

What setting is the time clock in and what does its display show?

Do you have a room stat and whats it set at or showing on its display?

Thats not the model number which starts with an "M".

It sounds as if the diverter valve motor is not operating. You need to measure the voltages on its connections in DHW and in HW modes.

If thats correct then you can remove the head and see if the motor is moving.

Depressing the diverter valve pin manually should make it work in CH when its set for a CH demand.
