Has anyone had problems with pipes popping off Biasi recuperator when pressure builds up.

New seal and clip fitted but still not staying put!!!

I assume the recuperator is one of the flue condensate recovery units.

If the house has a water meter or a non return valve stop cock. The heating of the mains cold has nowhere to go unless someone opens a hot tap. The pressure water pressure will soon build up and something will give.

Needs an expansion vessel and pressure relief valve fitting.

The OP is talking about the recouperator!

The clips do sometimes break but its not a common problem!

The pressure is set by the user and will only vary slightly from expansion up to say 1.8 Bar if the EXV is working correctly.

The OP should not have been opening the combustion chamber. Needs a professional to work on it and diagnose the underlying problem.

Thanks for replies.
Plumber said the recup/ heat exchanger needs replacing!!! why would this cause the pipe to pop off under pressure!!!!!!! :?

Which boiler is it ?? is it the stainless steel recouperator or the newer ally one ??
