brand new biassi boiler (condensing combi) 30kw, poor hw temp at max on stat, inlet gas pressure spot on

Are you the householder or the installer ?

Which model is it?

What is the hot water flow rate and inlet and outlet temperatures?

Have you done a gas rate at the meter?

Tony

i am an installer pal. thanks for replying so quickly. i will post the info about said biassi 2morro. i did think the burner pressures were quite low though on ch and hw . the chap phoned me this evening and said his hot water is getting colder. is there anything you can suggest i can do after i check gas rate inlet and outlet temp. flowrate etc. more of an installer than service engineer though cheers pal

For a start I am wondering if you are even CORGI registered!

Furthermore you are posting on a public forum but cannot even spell the boiler manufacturer correctly.

Before you put the boiler into service you have to commission it! CORGI consider it At Risk until its been commissioned.

That involves checking and if necessary adjusting the settings on the boiler.

The simple test is to run the DHW at max temperature and measure the working pressure at boiler inlet, WP at meter outlet, burner pressure, gas rate, water inlet and output temperatures and flow rate.

The answers will identify what, if any, problem exists.

Tony

i had already commisioned it agile thanks , though did'nt have details to hand to explain further , i do apologise , just thought 1 of the service type guys would've heard of it thats all. what about the spelling now hope it is to your approval

got the BIASI going lovely hot water. once again hope the spelling is ok for you. ccn1 htr1 ckr1 cen1 by the way[/u][/url]

What did you do which made it any different?

Any problems should have been apparent when you commissioned and filled in the Benchmark Certificate.

Tony

throttled back the main in

non-return valve onto hw, long legs to outlets from boiler

customer supplied boiler, b&q i believe, shudder to think whats going on out there, our merchants don't supply (polybag punters) thought boiler was ok although i'll stick to my own brand from now on

thanks again

Didn't realise the Benchmark informed us of what faults were on the boiler

Benchmark is un-enforcable anyway

Its still not clear to me which model but if its ant 32 kW Biais boiler the hot water performance is as good as any other boiler of the same power.

Perhaps you have a very high mains water pressure but in general most boiler will not deliver much more than their rated power with a typical London supply pressure of about 1.5 Bar.

Any faults on the hot water will be discovered when you measure the temperature rise and flow rate for the DHW. Similarly on Ch when you measure the flow and return temps and power input.

You should take more care over your spelling Tony. People might get confused

Yes, I should have spelt it Biassi just like the posting tittle.
