Screwfix and Toolstation was a bit of a screw up. The founder (one of) of Screwfix, sold the company to kingfisher and then setup in direct competition, creating Toolstation as the acquisition restrictions were not sufficiently tight.
There are always people willing to turn a blind eye to sexual and other abuse.
