Hi

We have moved into a house thats about 14 years old.

It seems that birds return each year and make nests under the roof tiles.

They have just started pecking away at what lloks like the expanding foam at the front og the house above the gutter.

Any ideas what I can do before they start laying eggs, want to get rid of them.

thanks

You can get strips of plastic spikes to fit to stop the birds getting in.

Does that mean actually lifting the tiles to fit the comb, it looks as though its expanding filler under the tiles that they are pecking away.?

Dont think thats screws! Mind they go on top of fascia board, they only need tacked.

what type of tiles is it? you can get filler units for the eaves as well as the bird combs.

will get a pic and post it tomorrow but i thought you had to leave air spaces because of possible damp

Attic space ventilation can be achieved in many ways assuming you have underfelt or membrane fitting filler units will make no difference.

Some reading.
