I'm planning to build a single thickness block wall approx 6ft high and 12ft long with 3 piers - one at each end and one in the middle for support. I then plan to render it.

I am unable to find a specific bonding pattern that I should be using when constructing the piers. Is their one or do I have to cut the blocks to fit my as yet undecided dimensions

Many thanks

See this, you don't say how thick the wall is,the high wind or yobbo could push the wall over unless you want to give them a free holiday!

Masona - thanks for your prompt response.

However the site that you directed me to only shows brick built piers - not block built ones.

As stated previously the wall will be single thickness - a standard block measures 440x215x100mm therefore the thickness will be 100mm (4"). However I do accept that I may have to increase this width by getting wider blocks to achieve the required height

The planned height as also previously stated will be 6ft and to prevent it being blown or knocked over I propose to build the peirs.

Doesn't matter it's still the same with celcon blocks, the one you need is the stretcher bond wall.
