Hi there, apologies first and foremost if I'm being thick. I've recently moved into my new house and I'm having my bathroom redesigned which is going to involve removing the old soil vent pipe which leads to a roof vent and fitting a durgo. I was just wondering if there was a way to cap off or block the roof vent internally from my loft rather than having to get up onto the roof and do something from up there?

Hopefully somebody could share some insight,

Thanks

You could codge something up from below but dont go that route.
Work from above and strip the vent pipe projection, and make good the roof covering.

Depends if it was extracting through a tile vent or weathering slate! the former you may get away with disconnecting..the latter will need replaced with a tile or slates.
