Can't find a small leak we have in our shower cubicle and it is driving me maaad

Can I ask what might be a fairly simple (stupid) question . . . . . in the first picture, the round fixtures that screw in to the tile, should they be sealed? Is there any danger water could seep behind and in through the hole in the tile?

As you can see I am clutching at straws . . . .

Hope someone can help. Thank you.

Do you see the water after you shower or is it a stain.
If you can see the water, do what I did get a jug or the spray hose, starting at the bottom of the shower let water flow. You dont need high pressure.
If you see water at the bottom you know its not the fittings, you can also let the water run over the fittings.
Hope this is of some help.

Thanks for your reply. It's more of a stain on the sill (bottom left) as you step in to the shower.
