Hi there,
First post here so please go easy . We moved into a 1920s detached two storey home with c200m2 of painted exterior.
The outside paint work is about 50% blown and effectively forming a crust over solid render which is not blown.
I thought I’d try and see what it came up like by pressure washing it today, it literally peeled off under the pressure. I’m at a loss as to what to do now. Do I just bite the bullet and get someone to sand blast or power wash it all off and start again? There are a couple cracks in the render that could be repaired at the same time, but in general the render seems in good condition.
See the pics below
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Sam
