Blue bottles, wasps, earthworms and flies on your windscreens.

There argument is that they are not native species of New Zealand but introduced by humans ??
NZ back in the day tried to introduce a whole load of animals to mixed success. Friends of mine live over in NZ and told me about the long list of animals they tried to introduce there, including camels and zebras! I think there's a lot of animals that are introduced intentionally or unintentionally which upset the local animal (and plant) ecosystem. As I said, as soon as humans get involved it seems to go to pot!

I think you have to be driving well over 70 mph for flies etc to stick to your car. Saw one the other day (can't recall what it was) front end and screen absolutely plastered with dead insects.

Ive never suffered earthworms on my windcreen, although I only drive above ground.
