bmw speedo

Hi
I have a 52 plate bmw 3 series. and the speedo has suddenly stopped working..
Any ideas please..

Only a guess mate but it could be the speedo transmitter, which usually lodges in the rear axle differential area.

quite common for the instrument cluster to fail on these too but usually its more than one thing that fails. quite a few on ebay for around £30.
