Hello,
I've got a single breezeblock garage. The roof is tiled and it looks like the tiles have been held in place with some kind of mortar. This was done a while ago and now the mortar is crumbling and falling down in chunks.
I don't want to re-roof the whole garage because the tiles are in good condition, I was thinking a simpler solution might be to board up the rafters.
What do you think? Is that a bad idea? Would it be likely to cause damp?
I could board over the rafters with some thin plywood. But I wonder if there's anything else I could use like insulation board or foam?
Do you know if there is a common solution for this? Or should I bite the bullet and get the roof re-done?
Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks!
