Hello Plastering Guru's....
My bathroom ceiling has a slight sag in some places. It looks like there has been a bit of condensation or something on the walls and ceiling at some point as the plaster and paint looks dirty or mouldy. Most people say "yuk"

Its not veryy bad but it is noticeble. I am moving water tanks and getting the ventaltion sorted so this should stop it.

I was going to put base boards 9.5mm (as I have them and they are easier to manage) and screw them onto the the original plaster ceiling but maybe I should remove the old ceiling first?

I was thinking with plenty of screws and a skim over the boards that would be much easier than ripping the old ceiling out.

What do you think?

i would take the old ceiling down! its not difficult or too messy with a p/b ceiling.
