Boiler airlocked?

Hi guys,

I replaced my oil fired central heating radiator pump and it was working OK until yesterday morning and the pump had an error message on it. It's a primaflow and the error is "e4 open phase protection".

I took it off again, got it working and put it back on and it worked OK until this morning, same error. The boiler didn't turn on so I think there is an air lock around the boiler when the system gets cold. I run the pump on auto and it was at 10watts and now it's showing 30watts.

I've tried bleeding the radiators and pumps and there is no sign of air.

Any help is much appreciated.

An Open phase protection error is usually an electrical fault. Not sure if an air lock would cause that.

Could it have been caused by water getting into the pump coils?

Water getting into anything electrical is never a good mix and invariably causes issues or errors
