I have a value boiler with a honeywell controller. It all works fine but then the power trips from time to time, the clock and times are lost fromt he controller and I have the agony of setting it all up each time ( very slow ).

Can someone recommend a controller which I can easily replace this with. The central heating is a standard boiler, hotwater tank etc.

Cheers

all info submitted very vague..................you could replace the controller with another one..............i suppose, it would work with your ? boiler and your ?motorised valves as you either have an ? plan system or a ? plan system

Your sarcastic reply was of no use. The boiler is a GlowWorm Boiler, I already said the controller was a Honeywell.

If you dont have anything constructive to say, then dont bother making smart replies please.

it was not a smart reply

what boiler :?:

what system :?:

what controls :?:

how do you expect to get an answer with no info supplied

I am not an expert. I come with no assumptions here. For all I know all controllers may be generic, thats why I am asking the question.

I would have been better served doing the research myself on the internet which is what I am now going to do.

While the regulars advise end users for free, to have and high and mighty attitude will get the OP nowhere.

Perhaps it has to be said there are many programmers made by Honeywell. To say you have a Honeywell timer, is like saying you have a Ford car.

Now if you had said you have a Honeywell ST 699, that might mean somethinfg and you would get a helpfull answer instead of a prod for more informartion.

What exactly is a value boiler?

Gelpac, I think you're hilarious...

oh and arrogant..

oh and still suffering from finger cramps reprogramming that generic controller without a memory....

Please and thanks are very useful on this forum and get you a lot of help from people who don't have to..

Thanks to 'ALL' who offered "constructive" advice ;-D

As for "Onwards" resorting to personal insults is hardly the kind of behaviour I would expect from a contributor here. Like I said the first responder, if you dont have anything constructive ( or polite ) to say, please dont!.

In any event, I have located a substitute controller, purchased fitted and tested it myself and it works fine. No more reprogramming.

;-P

Oh I'll think you'll find that I wasn't being insulting merely pointing what I think of your attitude as portrayed on here.

As for wanting people to be polite, well , as I said I think your hilarious.

Hope as goes well with you new device.

Maybe next time, please, thanks and more information will illicit a warmer response...
