Is there a clear 600 mm distance between the end of the flue and the nearest piece of roofing.

The sketch was from a Manufacturer's Instructions, it seems there is a genetic sketch which all manufactures use

I am intreagued, please post a pic or what it looks like now , cant see how a builder could alter that and it conforms

I think the 2 pics the OP posted are after the builder has modified it Ian

No they are the ones where he wanted to turn it back on because BG hadnt picked up on it

Ah I see .... glad to hear that then ... though as Ian says it would be interesting to see how it's has now been made compliant.

I then asked another gas engineer to come round. He identified that the flue pipe wasn't sealed around the wall , hence CO gas was coming back inside. He sealed it, did some tests and gave the all clear.

Does getting the "all clear" mean the same as "compliant" ?

Did this latest ( GasSafe registered ? ) gas engineer uncap the gas supply and re-instate the boiler ?

He said he was and was recommended highly by a family friend.
The end of this story is I cannot install a plume extension kit as these are all plastic these days. I cannot find a metal one anywhere.
I have cut a part of the roof to allow for extra space around the flue pipe.
