Looks like just bubbles created from the leak detection fluid. Can I ask the reason for spraying in the first place? Can you smell gas in the property?

Thanks for replying. Smelt gas lightly outside and had a gas safe engineer look over boiler and take readings. All fine.that was about a week ago. I had annual service engineer today and they’re saying there’s a leak and the video is evidence So they’ve shut down boiler , and asked me to book a repair. I asked for video and this was it.

Sorry, but there’s no video. Why wasn’t it traced by the service engineer, or was it and this is why they’ve shut it down? Could be the gas valve. What boiler?

This is about my combi boiler. Yes it says gas isolation valve on the form I was given. I couldn’t attach the video so only the screenshot with the bubble. Engineer 1 (after gas smell) traced and gave the all clear last week. Service engineer (2) came today did the soapy water thing and said there’s a leak and forwarded me the video which I can’t seem to upload He’s the one who’s shut down the boiler again. I feel like my telling him about what happened last week was not a good idea ?

If you have the video via YouTube, copy the link into here? Do both engineers work for the same company? looking at the photos it doesn’t look like a leak. You were being honest telling him, it’s nothing to feel bad about, just could be bad luck on the day. I’ve been to jobs where leaks have been reported only to find nothing on my visit. I’ve also had it done to me once where I found a drop on my tightness test, another engineer went out and it was ok.

Ideally use a small adjustable spanner on ball valves with a square shank, using a screwdriver can push the ball up off of the teflon seat and if it's worn at all then it can leak slightly and get past the o-ring. a small spanner only uses turning forces. If worried at all get a GSR in and get it replaced.

Is it my imagination or is that screwdriver slot worn/damaged from over use/wrong size of screwdriver/tight valve?

Thank you for suggesting a YouTube link. Here is the video
And thanks you’re right I was being honest.
Not the best video in the world. I would look at getting it replaced and or a 3rd opinion.

Thank you so much for all replies. I’ve had two other opinions and I’m clearer now on what’s going on with my boiler. Thanks again
