Boiler ignition repeated snapping noise

My Ideal Classic FF350 makes an awfully loud snapping or clicking noise when it fires up. It comes on with the fan then some 3 seconds later the main burner comes on with seemingly no problem.

However the boiler then turns off after a minute or so, is quiet for another minute then fires up again as above. Some cycles 'snap' more loudly than others.

Any ideas what might it be? I expect I may need to get a gas engineer over but it would be good to have an idea! Thanks

If you took a video of it and uploaded to youtube or something then it may help to give you an answer.

Thanks, if it is poor circulation what would the prognosis be? Here's a link to a video anyhow:

It's not particularly noisy there but that's the type of noise that it makes, with periods of 2mins of quiet in between.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
