i have a stationary trailer home in poconos, pa that we use for the weekends.
this past weekend, i turn the boiler on, along with our water main. ( we always keep it off when we are gone).
our cold water runs fine, but we have no hot water. after a couple of hours of turning on the boiler, i try turning on the hot water in our sinks and spurts of dirty water would come out and stop. i would see spurts for a couple of times until it no longer happened.
cold water ran fine through the showers but suddenly stopped completely.
i am ruling out frozen lines / ice blockage in the water lines since i see cold water flow normally.
i would check on the boiler and at times, water would leak out from holes on the top of the boiler.
does anyone know what this could be? sounds to me these symptoms are of a problem with the boiler. if this sounds familiar to you, is this a problem that can be fixed, or must a new boiler be purchased?
any insight would be appreciated.
