Hi All,

Glowworm flexicom 30cx this morning was on for central heating but when the taps were turned on the water only came out luke warm. Turned the heating off and on and the tap water was still luke warm but tried this for the second time and the water finally went hot. Its been OK for the rest of the day but I also noticed the boiler pressure was 3 bar with central heating on. The expansion vessel went flat beginning of November but that was pumped up to 1 bar and held pressure. Boiler pressure was set to 1.3 bar in November when cold but is 1.9 bar today. Could I have two issues, diverter and expansion vessel? Also if the expansion has lost pressure again could that cause the pressure to be higher when cold. Any help appreciated.

Yes you have an issue with where the water is being sent, so possibly diverter valve and or motor. Expansion issue for the pressure increase or pinholed plate heat exchanger. Best getting an engineer out or Glow worm fixed price repair, as removing the cover could need to be checked for safety afterwards.

Plate heat exchanger replaced about two years ago so hoping it's not that but still possible. Got a Bg contract but they may not replace diverter if its operating when they arrive. Like to know likely causes and reasons why before bg arrive.
