another update.
another engineer been today, he reckons it is the burner.
he showed me the burner when its on, the fire only extends 75% accross the burner he says it should be accross the rest of the burner too and the flame detector is on the right side which is where the flame is null.
also he criticised his colleague for not ordering a proper part for the flame detector rather than just altering one from another boiler.
So he is sorting both out.
Does this sound like a possible right diagnosis?
