Was just looking for some advice, have a Ravenheat Combi boiler (csi 85) and the pressure is on 0.
The boiler kicks in, but the pressure does not rise.
I know that i need to locate the pressure vale and or the filling loop....however, this is a rented house and i have no idea either a) what i am looking for, or b) where they will even be likely to be....
can any one help out?
thanks!!

Just call the landlord or agent.

If they wanted you to do that they would have told you where it is!

Trying to be helpful...its simple enough to sort if i know where the valve is!
Plus, on the verge of freezing to death.

Even more important to call the responsible person.

Those who repair boilers often find many problems have been caused by tenant's interference.

Some landlords like to charge those repairs to the tenant's deposit!

Why take the risk?

If the pressure on the boiler is zero, it is not going to kick in at all. The low pressure switch is a safety device. Get in touch with your landlord - you should have been shown the user controls on the boiler, and if it has a genuine fault, he is responsible for repairing it (unless it belongs to you).
