Put in x400 on the 28th sep, fill up system and all is fine. 3-4 days later the boiler starts leaking ??

The boiler is in good condition and hasn't really given me issues over the past 10 years and I have been cleaning sludge out once a year.

Going to get an engineer in to take a look, but has anyone else seen or experienced this before ? any thoughts on what it may be. I've had this once before years ago when I didn't remove all the air when re-pressuring and the boiler was kettling with CH a bit and the relief value dripped a bit and then cleared up.

I suspect some type of blockage/corrosion that the x400 has cleared up but it's opened up a leak. Also live in a hard water area.

Boiler is a worcester 23i junior.

Sometime you can get a weep at a compression joint that the cleaner can then dissolve, that or it's a seal that been affected, it can happen.

You should not be needing to do that every year if your getting sludge forming every year you have a serious problem elsewhere

So boiler has died, apparently the water leaked al over the electrics. So a few months after warrenty the damn thing dies.

Anyway, I am looking for a new boiler. Does anyone have any recommendations for boilers ? good efficiency and reliability
Standard 3 bed house with 2 baths (although 1 is electric), has 4 adults, sometimes 7 (stayovers).
Does anyone know of any government schemes ? or oother loopholes ? Its going to cost 2k and fiances aren't eactly on point at the moment.
