boiler losing preasure from overflow

Hi can anyone help i have a ferroli modena 80e and the overflow
wont stop dripping untill there is no pressure left even when there is no
ch or hw on

re charge your expansion vessel

or PRV is passing

or filling loop is passing
 
yep ye sure can, it will tell you how in your boilers manual

after re looking at yer post, i think your Pressure Relief Valve is passing (bit of grit under seat) again replacement is diyable

fill boiler and system to 1.5 bar, disconnect filling loop

if no ch or hw demand and its running out the PRV relief pipe then PRV is funked

take off front cover, its round about the pump, got a little red twist cap on it.

you can get em from Heatspares, Curzons, Plumbcentre, Partscentre

or maybe somebody could post up a pic from manual??

If this is the boiler I think it is, the prv is part of a manifold, bottom left. About a hundred squid. :eek:
 
they can be a pain to change.

slacken the cold and hot jam nuts and that gives you a lot of play.

got em down to 20mins ive done that many
