BOILER no power lights on ??

Hello everyone

Im sat at home at the moment freezing cold with no hot water or heating and wondered if there maybe a simple explanation that a lady like me wouldn't know to check !

I have a heatline vizo 15 months old that has decided to stop working...there are no power lights on what so ever .... i have checked the fuse, but thats all i can think of as all electric and gas in the rest of the house is fine

would be very grateful for any suggestions

Has a breaker tripped in the consumer unit?

Is there another switch in the line that may have been turned off?

wow quick reply !....hmmm.... my husband is just out at the minute..not that he really knows what he's doing ethier, but im not quite sure of where you meen

Check the main "fuse box" in your house, make sure all the 'switches' are pushed all the way up, one of these might have tripped

Im sure the other half has already checked the trip switch but will ask when he's back...this may not make any difference but the boiler is situated in the garage and all other electrics are fine

what fuse did you check, was it near the boiler? A fuse may have went inside an FCU (a switch on the wall holding a fuse carrier) which may have a red light on it

Just been confirmed that fuse box was all fine, nothing tripped ...

what size was the fuse you checked ? amps not length.
and how did you check it ?

The fuse we checked was in a socket next to the boiler ..the boiler is wired into it ?

is it a standard power outlet socket, if so, try plugging a lamp into it etc to see if power is present at it

It was 3amp ...just bought new one to check it
